The project aimed to create a place capable of functioning as an attractive hub for the entire community.
The new complex is basically proposed as a PLATE with one floor above ground and is divided into 4 distinct parts that include, from West to East:
a) civic center, b) civic gallery, c) elementary school, and d) sports center.
The plate is geometrically regulated by a structural grid of 750 cm x 750 cm.
The ‘urban gallery’ that separates and joins the civic center from the school provides a direct connection between the North part and the South part lot. It is an element that changes identity throughout the day: a distributive gallery for pupils during the first half of the day and an urban gallery for the use of the population during non-school hours. This balance is made possible by the juxtaposition of distinct parts with respect to the gallery itself, the heart of the project that serves as a visual and functional junction.
